A rite of passage route on tough mountainous terrain on the Kerry/Cork border.
|61 km||977 m|
There should be medals and certificates handed out at the end of this route or at least they feel much deserved with two hard climbs in the middle of a cycle that meanders over the Cork border and back again into Kerry on a mettle-testing expedition that tries even the most experienced of cyclists. The reward however is a countryside full of character that almost feels unexplored and most certainly will not be overly busy with either bicycle or motor traffic.
Please note that sample routes on this site are only a short preview with much more detail covered in the book.
